A dashiki is colorful garment that tends to cover the top half of the body. There are many different versions and the most common form is a loose-fitting pullover garment, with an ornate V-shaped embroidered collar. The dashiki originated in West Africa and one of our favorite designers, Mara Hoffman, has featured some gorgeous dashiki styles over the past several seasons. We received our first one for Spring 2015 this week. Just when we thought Mara couldn’t bring anymore game she does! It features a black and white alta print finished off with intricate, colrful beading around the neck. I love that she chose fluorescent hues for the beading and I think this makes the graphic print pop even more. This dashiki can be tied up in the front for a different look. We paired it with a strappy high heel to dress it up a bit but it would also look great with a flat sandal for a more casual look. Shop this dashiki and more of Mara Hoffman’s new arrivals here!!
A mosaic is a work of art created by assembling beautiful pieces of brightly colored materials, such as glass, metals or stone, to create an image. Whether you’re assembling a single outfit or an entire wardrobe, we can help you find just the right pieces and make sure they work together to create the image you want to project. Read more....
